Train4All Academy Providing Local Training for Local Learners

Train4All is one of the leading providers of training for the construction industry. Located at the heart of the West Country, we are ideally located to provide training for Somerset, Dorset, Devon, the South West and beyond.

Train4All Construction Academy was opened in 2008 by Jon and Rachel Allen to provide training for  those working in or looking to enter into a career within the Construction Industry with the first centre being established in Chard, Somerset.

In 2010, the Chard centre was expanded in order to accomodate additional learners from the local community and a second centre was opened in Glastonbury to assist local learners in the Mendip area who could not afford to travel to larger colleges in the region.

Due to an increased demand for quality construction training in the Mendip region, in 2011 Train4All relocated from Glastonbury and opened their biggest centre just 10 minutes  away in Street to accomodate 100 additional learners within that area.

The team at Train4All are delighted that their brand new Academy has now opened at Badgers Cross in Somerton to cater for even more Learners, Employers and those leaving the Armed Forces. The new Academy offers larger workshops, and seperate training facilities with corporate meeting rooms that are available for hire.  A courtesy transport service operates picking up learners from Chard, Ilminster, South Petherton, Cartgate Nr Yeovil, and Street.

The Academy prides itself in offering a relaxed friendly atmosphere yet with a professional feel.   A highly skilled team of trainers with extensive industrial experience and expertise in teaching the subjects explain and demonstrate their subject area in a way that is easy for learners to understand. With no distractions, learners can completely focus on their construction training and enjoy training in a setting closely related to a construction working environment.

What's New at the Somerton Academy?

Train4All Academy has now settled into their brand new training facility in Somerton and are offering a wider range of training opportunities for learners and employers.  Apprenticeships, Traineeships and construction trade qualifications are still available in popular trades such as Bricklaying, Carpentry, Plastering, Plumbing, Tiling and Maintenance, but as part of their commitment to the local community, Train4All are delighted to be working alongside more local employers in providing new programmes in painting and decorating, construction operations, manufacturing and engineering.

Employers can take advantage of a free Business Needs Analysis which can help and support the designing of a training and development programme to meet company objectives, they can also offer advice on aspects of funding that may be available to assist with qualification costs.

Train4All work closely with all of their customers to identify exactly what is needed to ensure that staff gain new skills and knowledge whilst meeting new legislative requirements.  As part of a new wraparound service for employers, associated training courses are now available for all aspects of a construction business.  Employees may require trade NVQ’s, CSCS, SSSTS and SMSTS Cards, Abrasive Wheels, and Health and Safety qualifications. Those working at Head Office may require training in administration, customer service, sales and management or if working on site there may be individuals that would benefit from gaining a Level 4 Site Supervisory Management qualification. Train4All are still the first choice for learners and the first choice for employers for construction training.
