This one day course includes the following:
Licenced Asbestos Awareness (Cat A)
These Regulations cover managing and working with asbestos or materials containing asbestos, in the U.K. and refers to:
- Work which consists of removal, repair or disturbance of Asbestos or materials containing asbestos.
- Work which is ancillary to such work.
- Supervision of such work and such ancillary work.
Anyone who is intentionally working with asbestos should be fully trained and equipped to do so safely, they should also be made aware of the type, position and amounts of Asbestos involved.
Non-Licenced Asbestos (Cat B)
The non Licensable asbestos course is required to train those persons or businesses who knowingly will be working with Asbestos containing materials where the work is NOT classified as "Licensable work with asbestos" as defined by CAR 2012 ( Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 ) .
This training goes into more detail on the role of the Licenced asbestos removal contractors, waste handling procedures and de-contamination process and includes safe methods of working with Asbestos products to include HSG210 Asbestos Essentials.
This course includes refreshments, lunch resources and certification.
