If you are looking to gain a Gold CSCS card and are already working as a construction site supervisor, we can assist you in gaining your City & Guilds NVQ Level 4 in Site Supervision.  Our assessors will visit you and complete on-site assessments within the workplace to  review your competence against the national criteria.  You will receive on-line support throughout and underpinning knowledge will be delivered via home study packs, online training or theory sessions held at the centre. In order to gain your qualification you will  submit a portfolio of evidence either via an electronic or a paper based portfolio in which you will prove your competence over 14 units, evidence may include: This is a qualification that confirms competency in site supervision in the construction industry and consists of 14 units of study. Within the qualification you will look at the following topic areas:
  • Introduction to health and safety
  • Leadership and Management
  • Communication and customer care
  • Planning, programming and logistics
  • Resource management (cost, cash and risk)
All of the units within the qualification relate to the skills and knowledge required and there are 6 pathways that you can choose from in order to achieve the full qualification: Building and Civil Engineering, Highways and maintenance repair, Residential development, Conservation, Demolition and Tunneling. Once you have achieved your NVQ you are then able to sit an online CITB Health & Safety test at a local testing centre and once achieved, apply for your Gold CSCS card, you ar ethen able to progress further into Site Management.   ELCAS funding is available for force resettlement learners
