Train4All Construction Academy offer fully funded apprenticeships for 16-19 year olds and partially funded apprenticeships for those who are over the age of 19.¬† Apprenticeships are available in Bricklaying and Property Maintenance Operatives.
As an apprentice you will build knowledge and gain practical skills in order to gain qualifications, all whilst working for an employer and earning money. You will have a contract of employment and be entitled to holidays and other terms of employment just like the rest of the workforce.¬† We have a dedicated team that can assist you in finding the right employer if you have not already secured a placement.
You will attend a day release programme for between 12 months and 2 years where you will be fully supported to work alongside an employer. Train4All aim to ensure that young people undertake quality training both in the workplace and at the centre where training is delivered practically and theoretically within individual trade workshops.¬† You will work towards gaining an apprenticeship standard along with Functional Skills in Maths and English.¬† Once you have reached the end of¬† your training, you may have to be independently externally assessed¬† to prove your skills (depending upon the programme you are following).¬† Once you have passed this independent end point assessment your tutors and your employer will provide advice and guidance on how you can then progress your career further to move up the construction ladder.
Train4All offer a¬† pre-apprenticeship programmes Construction Traineeship which is predominantly focused on gaining skills to assist with a future career within industry and lasts between 6 weeks and 4 months.¬† This pre-apprenticeship programme is fantastic for gaining confidence before making the next step on your career journey.¬† You will attend at Train4All 2 days per week to gain skills in order to prepare you for work, labouring skills, improve on Maths and English and carry out 1 day per week as a minimum with an employer gaining valuable work experience.
Train4All are delighted to be working with the Heart of the South West LEP and the National Skills Fund to¬† prepare learners to work in the Mechanical Engineering sector and progress individuals with a supporting employer who have already completed a level 2 Bricklaying apprenticeship. These exciting pilots are open to individuals aged 19 or over from the Devon, Plymouth, Somerset and Torbay region.
