This is for those that are looking to gain basic skills and practical ability in MIG and MMA (stick) welding. This City & Guilds course that will teach you basic skills and is ideal for learners that are looking to gain some experience in Welding.
Course Content
- Work safely with the process they have chosen
- Identify and assemble the equipment necessary to work with their chosen process
- Learn and practice fillet, butt, lap and corner welds produced in the flat position
- Identify process technique deficiencies
- Identify welding defects
Who is this course for?
This 10 day course is for those that are looking to gain basic welding skills.
Assessment Method
This is level 1 certificated course where leaners will be assessed against pre-set practical criteria.
Progression
There is opportunity to progress to a more advanced level, try different forms of welding, or commence an apprenticeship with an employer.
Course Requirements*
Learners need to provide flameproof overalls and wear safety boots in the workshop.
