Medium Risk Confined Space - Hinkley Point

This 2-day confined space training course is designed for anyone who works at Hinkley Point in a medium risk environment and includes preparing to work safely, entering, and exiting medium risk confined spaces safely, using equipment and tools safely, following procedures and dealing with emergencies. The course is taught in simulated confined space environment, an indoor tunnel. It will include safe entry, emergency procedures and escapes using breathing apparatus.

Who is this course for?

All personnel who work in a Confined Space or might be associated with Confined Space Operations. This course is required for work at Hinkley Point.

Assessment Method

Practical assessment and theoretical examination.

Progression

Learners can progress onto other short skills courses required for working at Hinkley Point.

Course Requirements*

Due to the nature of the training course and the emphasis placed on communication, there is only a provision for the assessments to be undertaken in English. Therefore, candidates for this type of training must be able to understand and speak the English language, unless bespoke programmes have been arranged for overseas learners.

Learners must provide their own safety footwear to wear within the workshop.
