National Apprenticeship Week (NAW) 2024 is the 17th annual celebration of apprenticeships.
The week brings together everyone passionate about apprenticeships to celebrate the value, benefit and opportunity that they bring.
The theme for National Apprenticeship Week 2024 is “Skills for Life”. We encourage everyone to consider how apprenticeships can help individuals to develop the skills and knowledge required for a rewarding career, and employers to develop a workforce with future ready skills.
The year we are once again holding practical taster sessions for year 10/11 learners on Monday 5th and Friday 9th February from 10.00 - 12.30pm at the academy in Somerton. Learners can try a range of trades such as bricklaying, carpentry, plastering, property maintenance and welding. Spaces are limited and booked on a first come first served basis, contact us directly to book your space.
We will also be holding an Information Event during the evening of Tuesday 6th February from 4.00 pm - 7.00 pm to discuss all courses, the full time pre-apprenticeship and apprenticeship opportunities available post GCSE's. Due to the unprecedented flooding in the area, we have closed the Academy early today for the safety of our learners and staff. Please check our social media pages or class messaging groups to see whether the Academy will remain closed tomorrow. Please do not take unnecessary risks to reach us.

Come armed with your CV and we can get the process started to find you an employer if you do not already have one secured for next year. Alternatively, if you have an employer, both come along to get the ball rolling to start.

Taking next-step when you leave school can be tricky and there is so much opportunity available. Have a think about your end goal and talk to your teachers, peers and family about your ideas and which type of programme would suit you. It might be that you are academic and progress to a full time college course and take A Levels, T Levels, or a Vocational qualification, or it might be that you want to start earning money straight away and commence an Apprenticeship, and this is where we can help.

Due to employer demand, we are delighted to have brought Plastering Apprenticeships back into the curriculum! It is a fantastic opportunity for anybody looking to get into the industry to come and learn valuable skills in our British Gypsum skills workshop whilst working with an employer on site.
In their daily work, an employee in this occupation interacts with commercial and domestic customers, other trades, architects and site managers. All plasterers can work on their own or as part of a small team. They work on small-scale domestic jobs, large repair and restoration projects and on big commercial developments such as schools or hospitals, therefore coming into contact with a wide range of people.
Whilst some plasterers are directly employed by companies specialising in plastering, there are a lot who are sub contracted by companies to work on new or existing buildings.

We are delighted to be hosting another of our popular Trade Days for our Armed Forces learners and local employers on 21st June from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm in Somerton, just ahead of the national Armed Forces Day on Saturday 24th June.
During the day there will be lots of opportunity to discuss training available and for employers to register their interest in recruiting ex-forces and apprentices.
Free refreshments will be available throughout the day with donations welcome to support SSAFA, a charity close to our hearts who do valuable work with vulnerable members of the Armed Forces community.

So tonight is the Somerset Business Awards final! We are thrilled to be travelling to Weston Super Mare to the beautiful Winter Gardens Pavilion to see whether we win Medium Business of the year.
Thank you to everyone that has supported our journey, it' has certainly been an exciting year for Team T4A and this really would mean a great deal to the entire team who work tirelessly to support the unemployed, young learners, apprentices, and the Armed Forces Community.

Train4All Construction & Engineering Academy are looking for an enthusiastic, flexible, and motivated Apprenticeship Account Manager to liaise with employers across the region and support apprentices through their apprenticeship journey.
The successful candidate will coordinate Construction & Engineering Apprenticeship programmes from enrolment through to achievement. The role will see the candidate increasing awareness of funded programmes by growing a customer base of SME and levy paying employers across the region. The role will also include engaging with local schools and employment agencies to promote curriculum opportunities and working effectively to meet agreed targets for recruitment.
Applicants must have prior experience in a similar role and understand apprenticeship standards and the review processes. Knowledge of the construction and engineering industry would be advantageous but is not essential.
Salary £26k + OTE | Based in Somerton | Full Time Hybrid Working | Fuel Allowance
