The ETCAL Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Fabrication and Welding Engineering is for people who are welding on site and require a Level 3 qualification. It allows candidates to prove their knowledge and competence using written narrative statements, witness testimonies and documented supporting evidence of their practical application such as photos, observations, question and answers and professional discussions with an assessor.
Course Content
To achieve the Level 3 NVQ Diploma, learners must complete 3 mandatory units plus 4 optional units.
Mandatory Units:
- Complying with statutory regulations and organisational safety requirements
- Using and interpreting engineering data and documentation
- Working efficiently and effectively in engineering
Optional Units (examples):
- Welding materials by the Manual Metal Arc process
- Welding materials by the Manual MIG/MMA and Flux-Cored Wire process
- Welding materials by the TIG and Plasma Arc Welding process
- Welding Pipe/Tube using Multiple Manual Arc Welding processes
