We are delighted to be collaborating with former T4A Wall & Floor Tiling apprentice Eli Parish from Marwan Interiors on a new Foundation Apprenticeship in Finishing Interiors.
The programme is set to start in Autumn 2027 and will see Marwan Interiors support up to 12 young people on a tiling pathway. Eli has recognised that he needs young blood coming through and this is a fantastic way of giving something back. "I already have the support of other employers, merrchants and suppliers, all of who want to see this work. There is a huge need for trades people, and there is a huge problem in the UK with NEETS (Not in Education, employment or Training) and I want to help these young people and grow my business! I am delighted to be back at Train4All with Jon and Rache where my career started, and just cant wait to get this programme underway".
But What is a Foundation Apprenticeship?
Foundation apprenticeships are paid, entry‑level Level 2 programmes introduced in England in May 2025, lasting at least 8 months and designed to help 16–21‑year‑olds gain workplace experience, confidence, and essential skills before progressing to higher apprenticeships or employment.
- Paid employment with around 30 hours per week.
- Structured training aligned to occupational standards.
- Focus on workplace readiness rather than full technical training.
- Minimum duration: 8 months (reduced from 12 months for new starts from 1 August 2025).
Follow Eli on his social media pages for more information on what he is looking for, it is a fantastic opportunity for young people to get involved, get trained and to carve out a great career.
